Overall our experience with Aunt Bugs sucked and I would never recommend them to anyone wanting a worry free vacation in the Smokey Mountains. Oh, and by the way, the hot tub is dirty and unsafe to use. That made me happy, because I was not confident that Aunt Bugs would take care of this problem. The next morning, my husband and son-in-law found a room in the basement with the pump in it and tapped on the pressure switch and we then had water. I also told her about the dirty toilets and the live scorpions and she said that the scorpions in Tennessee weren't poisonous (That was suppose to give me peace of mind). She said that there wasn't anything they could do about it and they had no available cabins to move us to. I reminded her that there was 8 people in our cabin, some babies and we had no water to bath and flush toilets. Well she told us that we were out of luck till the next day when the service man could get out there.
She called back and the service man wanted us to go to the main breaker and turn it off and then on, which didn't work. That night we lost water and when I called the office, the clerk made light of it and said she would call me back on the cabin phone, which also didn't work, so I gave her my number. DAH! Then the next morning I found a live Scorpion under the kitchen table and commenced to cleaning the whole area since there were small children with us. I found a brush under one of the toilets and commenced to clean it myself - which by the way took care of most of the discoloration. I have well water and don't have dirty toilets.
Next we found both toilets to be dirty and a note from the management that the problem was due to well water. A call to Adam at the office procurred another key and he acted as though there was nothing to worry about. How do I begin? When we arrived at cabin, there wasn't a key where we were suppose to find it, therefore we weren't confident that someone wouldn't pay us a visit in the middle of the night.
